Chihiro

Chihiro happened to enter into the world where good and evil conexist.
The reason she could luckly escape from this space was not because she had fought out the foes but she had acquired how survive -

It looks like Miyazaki does not believe in dichotomous way of thinking anymore.
Or he could simply think that we cannot apply this kind of idea into 21st century because we already know that world we live is much more complicated than this.

Kaonashi

I don't think I could talk about just one character in 15 pages.
Boe is another outsider character that I have in mind so far - but then I noticed that there are very few of them especial in big scale pieces like Nausicaa or Princess Mononoke, I don't see any characters that are psychologically depressed in certain way.

Plenty of question marks floating on my head....

But why is it so hard to start !!!!!!!

The break is almost over so I feel like I should upload stuffs or feedbacks about what we've seen in class.
I recently saw "the spiriting away of sen and chihiro" again
and thought about how Miyazaki's idea of outsider is depicted in his films...
I should be thinking about it continuously - it sounds interesting.
It might be just because I'm in the position to understand how they feel in certain way. Being an outsider is tough most of the time.
Whether they choose to be one or just suddenly happened to become one.
Outsiders, loners .... they are psychologically interesting people for sure.
